Frequently asked questions about Factor's meal delivery service for the elderly
How long do my meals stay fresh?
Your meals will remain incredibly fresh for several days (approximately a week) after delivery, provided you keep them refrigerated. We label each meal with an 'Enjoy by' label so that you know up to which day you can enjoy your meal. No waste, plenty of taste!
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Yes, we would like you to be at home when we deliver your meals. We try to make this as convenient for you as possible. When you order your box, you can select a five-hour delivery time window. You will also receive a push notification the day before your delivery with a delivery time (with a 30-minute margin). If you do not open the push notification on your phone, we will automatically send you an email with the same information. On the delivery date, you can track your package service on foot using the track-and-trace link provided in the app and your notification email. If, for any reason, you are not at home during delivery, we will drop your package off with a neighbour. In that case, make sure to collect your box as quickly as possible and put your meals away in the fridge immediately. So, listen out for the doorbell, because if you or your neighbours are not at home, the deliverer will take the box back with them.
What are the delivery charges?
We apply a delivery charge of €5.99 to ensure proper and efficient delivery. This fee is included when you purchase your Factor Box. Please note that for many discount offers, you will still need to pay the full delivery charge.
